Day Tour to Salzburg from Vienna

On our way to Mozarts town of birth you become acquainted with the beautiful Salzkammergut landscape with its mountains and its numerous lakes, where the Emperor Franz Joseph and his family used to spend their holidays. Skirting the Lake Fuschl and Lake Wolfgang you reach Salzburg, where you will have time for lunch. The afternoon will be dedicated to a stroll through the old city, showing you the most important sights of the old Bishops Seat. These are the Cathedral, the Festivall Hall, St.Peters Abbey Church and its graveyard (tomb of Mozart's sister Nannerl). Of course we will show you Mozart´s birth place in the Getreidegasse. The Edelweiss-Song from the movie Sound of Music will come to your memory, while passing the horse-pond and from the gardens of Mirabell-Palace you will have a marvellous view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Please note:

Present yourself at the departure point at least 15 minutes before departure

Starting at 7.15 am, coffee break after arriving Amstetten aprox. 9.00 am for 30 minutes First stop at Mondsee, where the Sound of music church is located. There is a stop for 30 - 45 minutes to visit the church and "Mondsee""; Next: a short foto stop at "St.Gilgen", where you have a beautifull view above "Salzkammergut", esp. the "Wolfgang"-lake;

Up to 12.30 am(depending of traffic) the bus arrives at Salzburg, where the city walk starts. The highlights of the walking tour are: Mirabell castle and the gardens of Mirabell Over the Markart-bridge leading to the city centre to the Gestreidegasse where you find the Mozarthouse.

Then the Universitatskirche, Erzstift(anney) St.Peter, the Dom of Salzburg and the caffee Tomasseelli, where the walking tour end.

Between aprox. 2.15 pm the end of the walking tour) there is a lunch opportunity(not included) or shopping time until 4.30 pm. During this time also insight visits are possible (admissions not included).

At 4.30 pm the bus leaves Salsburg at Paris Lodron street. At apr. 8.00 pm the bus arrives in Vienna
