Donau Observation Tower - Top of Vienna
After extensive reconstruction works in 2017/2018 the whole tower will shine with new brilliance, glamour and charm of the 1960´s.
Two elevators will transport your guests up to the central station at 165 meters in just 40 seconds. In the Danube Tower, everything revolves around Vienna history, cuisine, wines and hospitality.
Furthermore guests can expect a journey through the looks of the 1960s and new enter- and infotainment.
The renewed revolving turm restaurant – in 170 meters - and turm café – in 160 meters - and the observation desk offers a breath taking 360 degree outlook over whole Vienna. A few meters further up there is a 360 degree glazed turm event terrace which is the perfect place to enjoy the view of the city even in bad weather. It also is the ideally suitable venue for a various of events and presentations, including workshops, private parties and even civil wedding ceremonies and receptions. 2018 we will open donaucafé, a Viennese traditional coffee-house with lots of strudels and other typical Austrian cakes and tortes. The new donaubräu – opening summer 2018 – will tempt you to typical Austrian beer tradition with its outstanding new donaubräu – the beer which is also the name for the restaurant with its beautiful beer garden in summer. 2018 will open our new donaushop – get your very own souvenir for yourself or your friends from Danube Tower Vienna and the beautiful romantic capital of Austria.

You can get to us by public transport (Wiener Linien) using the following routes:
Option 1: with the metro line U1 (red line):
Take the U1 metro line to the station "VIC (Vienna International Center) / Kaisermühlen". Change there and take the 20A bus to the station "Donauturm"(Danube Tower).
Option 2: with the metro line U6 (brown line):
Take the U6 metro line to the station "Neue Donau." Change there and take the 20A bus to the station "Donauturm"(Danube Tower).

Cancellations more than a week in advance only administration costs of 15%
Cancellation between a week and 48 hours prior to departure date: 50% of the total amount
Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to departure date : 100% of the total amount

Observation deck & elevator hours:
Daily 10 a.m. to midnight, excluding 24 and 31 December, company holidays and maintenance work.
Last drive-up at 11:30 p.m.
Monday - Sunday
11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - midnight
Monday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 11 p.m
Unfortunately, bringing dogs into the Tower is prohibited by the authorities. When visiting the Danube Tower, please leave your four-legged best friend under appropriate supervision on the ground.
For safety reasons, the following requirements are in place for visitors with wheelchairs:
- Only one wheelchair may transported in a lift cabin at any time.
- There may be a maximum of three wheelchair users on the observation terrace at any one time.
- All wheelchair users must be accompanied by a person who is able to transport the wheelchair user if necessary.
