Pros: on time pickup from the hotel. A small group of 7 people in the van. Driver is courteous and knowledgeable. Robert, the guide at salsburg was very engaging. Improvements needed: the van should have WiFi. It's 3 hour drive each way and you can only sleep so much and wifi would have made the trip passing faster. Also I think the driver could have mentioned more about Wachau valley, that it's a UNISCO world heritage site from Melk to Krem and he could tell more as to how to get their from Vienna and that biking, ferry, vineyards, etc. Had we learned this we would have done a day trip outside Vienna. But we read it too late.

I was very happy with the service I received. The office took the time to pick us up from our location, ON TIME. I was very concerned if they will forget to pick us up because I booked the tour 4 months before and completely forgot to remind the office about the reservation. There was a tourist guide in the bus explaining us all important places on the way. When we arrived in Salzburg the tourist guide took us around and explained us the important landmarks of the city for about 1 hour and allowed us 3 hours free time. Overall a great daily outing (long 600 miles both ways but well worth it and I highly recomment to everyone who plans to visit Austria. Exceptionally good service, thank you for everything!!!!

We had a taste of the city but no time to visit many things. After the walking tour we had a quick lunch, visited Mozart’s house and the cathedral and then had to go back to the bus. The trip was a long one so only gave one time to get a flavor of the city

I liked the trip. The driver/guide was good. The only downside was the minibus which was a bit too cramped - we were three next to each other in a row. 2+1 is much better, and many other trip organisers use it.

In one word they are FRAUD and I have submitted a fraudulent transaction with my credit card company after reaching out to many time for the refund of my booking. I have a book for a tour of Salzburg from Vienna and got an email from them that the booking is not confirmed yet and they will send me another email once they get the confirmation from the local tour operator. "PLEASE NOTE! THIS TOUR IS NOT CONFIRMED WITH THE BOOKING. ONCE WE RECEIVE CONFIRMATION FROM THE LOCAL TOUR PROVIDER WE WILL SEND YOU A CONFIRMATION EMAIL." And their pick-up location was very vague: "Pickup/Departure Information: At your hotel or any other location the city centre of Vienna. Or at the Albertina Platz near the Tourist Office" Well I have given them my hotel address and contact number for pick-up but did not get any further details from them and when I check my credit card they have already charged me full amount before the tour. I was on Europe trip so I had all my booking in advance and when I reached to Vienna my hotel was not available so moved us to the different hotel within 0.5 mile radius for previous hotel. I have immediately tried to reach out to Vienna City Tour so-called 24X7 support line but it was going on voice message so I have sent them an email around 5:30PM with my new hotel address and obviously they had my contact number but they did not bother to reach out to me or reply to my email request. Next day in the late afternoon I got their reply "sorry we can not change the pick-up location it's too late...ARE they Kidding?? I have booked multiple trips with Viator and Getyourguide and they are very professional and truly available 24X7 and co-ordinate well with for pickup location and time. But these guys are saying local tour operator was waiting at my previous hotel and I did not show up so they are charging me for as no-show :) I am not sure if they check with hotel reception because If they did they should have come to know that I am not in that hotel and not sure if they tried reaching out to Vienna City Tour Operator for my location or contact numbers?? WIth my booking, I have provided them My email and cell number but only thing i got from them is Payment Receipt :) Now It's not about Money for me, I am going to file a complaint against them. My suggestions Please stay away from them!

Tour wass excellent, collected in time, pleanty of stops on bus, particularly some breath taking views. Ample of time in Salzburg itself to wander & take in all it has to offer. Tour guide friendly, helpful with great English!

Well worth the effort. Visit to the lake area in spite of winter weather was a delight and the walk around with the courier in the old city is extremely informative. Safe and comfortable drive. Courier was excellent.

" Great Day Trip to Salzburg "

This was an awesome day trip to Salzburg. Joseph was a nice guide but the company really needs to provide the guides/drivers with hands-free microphonesso that the guide/driver is able to keep two hands on the wheel while talking. I was actually scared because it was raining and he was driving with one hand on the wheel while he held the microphone. Other than that, very nice day.

Marco was an amazing guide and driver! He was punctual, organized and entertaining! My mom and I had great day visiting Salzburg and lake district, the places we wouldnt have been able to reach alone. I wish we were lucky with the weather but otherwise fantastic trip!
" Convenient! "
5 out of 5 stars
What I love about this company is that they offer door-to-door pickup and drop-off. Our guide Robert was very knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. Even though it rained the whole time we were at Salzburg, we enjoyed the experience. There were a total of 8 passengers traveling in a new Mercedes Sprinter van - love the smaller group tour. I would definitely recommend this company to all my friends.
" Beautiful day trip to Salzburg "
5 out of 5 stars
We booked our trip to Salzburg last minute for the next day and it ended up being such a lovely experience. Robert, our guide, picked us up at our hotel and zipped us out of the city. He narrated our drive, making sure to point out all the sites along the way and provide historical background. He also made sure to provide some quiet time so all those in the van could take a nap. We stopped off along the Lake District right outside of Salzburg, and were given time to walk around the beautiful little town where Mozart's mother was born and a scenic spot where they filmed parts of the Sound of Music. The views were unreal, with the beautiful lakes nestled in the scenic Alps. Once we reached Salzburg, Robert walked us around, making sure to point out all the important sites and shops. He then gave us a few hours to explore Salzburg on our own. Robert was such a wonderful and knowledgeable guide, and he was so kind in assisting my mom in and out of the van, which she struggled with because of her bad knees. It was such a lovely experience and will be forever a treasured memory.

" What happened to the mini van ? "
3 out of 5 stars
I booked and paid for a 4 van mini bus, as I'm disabled and didn't want to hold other up, so i was shocked and dismayed to fine out i was going on a normal coach trip,if id of got what i paid for, id of given higher!,the tour Gide was earlier, that was nice, then we went by mini van which i thought that's was great, but that was a feeder bus to take us to the big bus!,so was fuming, its very misleading!however once over the shock, it was a lovely day The tour guide spoke excellent English, all day, we stopped on the way there for a second breakfast, at a lovely service area, and the toilets were free,on the way. Back the service station wasn't free, so take change There was a lovely stop at the lakes and mountains were they made the sound of music, then on to Salzburg for 1 hr walking tour, with the Gide, that was very good, then the rest of the day was at leisure,we had until 4pm so plenty of time to explore ,then time to come back, we left at 7am got. Back 9pm!so a long day, but worth it, next time if you say 4x4 mini van,i dont expect a huge 30 group

" Highlight of our trip to Austria "
5 out of 5 stars
We took the day trip from Vienna to Salzburg. Organisation was seamless. Picked up at the designated time from our accommodation, which was an AirBnB apartment a little off the beaten track. Robert was our guide and driver. He was welcoming, knowledgeable and clearly has a real passion for all things Austrian. Our group had Spanish and English and he moved seamlessly between both languages. We had a wonderful time.

" Day trip to Salzburg - 08.09.16 "
4 out of 5 stars
Although we were pleasantly surprised that there were only 3 couples in our minigroup, I found that although my Spanish is not perfect I felt that there were a lot more explanations in that language than in English. At times it was quite difficult to understand the English of the driver/guide, and some of the Spanish speaking people stated that he was often mixing up between his native Portuguese and Spanish. 90% of the journey was on the main motorway so was not interesting and even when we did stop in the middle of a village in the church square we were left on our own to look around. When we did arrive in Salzburg we were given a very basic walking tour of a couple of the interesting places and were then left on our own for well over 2 hours. I feel that we did not get a full value for the money we paid, which when compared to tours we have taken in other European countries was very expensive.
" Great Salzburg Tour "
5 out of 5 stars
This was a very nice tour. Josef our guide, took us for lovely drive to Salzburg by the lakes and mountains. He then gave a walking tour of Mariabelle Park and the old town. Plenty of free time to shop and look on your own. The weather cleared as the day went on. There are rest stops to and from. Josef was professional, polite and humorous. A good time was had by all. Almost forgot, it was a small group of 8, so you can hear all he said and made it more relaxing.

The driver and the guide were very friendly and courteous. It was a lovely day and Salzburg was a beautiful city. Despite the narrow streets, the driver skilfully handled the bus to provide us with maximum convenience.

From pick-up to drop-off, I am impressed by everyone's professionalism and dedication! It's a tight a day trip, our knowledgeable guide gave us so much information about Vienna and Salzburg history, culture, geography and even food. We were stuck in traffic for an extra hour, our guide prolonged his working time in order to let us to see everything included in the tour. He was patient and thorough. Our driver also drove such a long way safely on that day! I'm totally happy with our experience!

The tour is very well planned as any tours. This is my second trip to Salzburg. The country side road to Salzburg is scenic. Salzburg seems to be a lot busier than 4 years ago ...... In a nice way of course. The good thing about this tour is the bus picked us up, which is so unlike other tours which we have to go to the city center to join a bigger group to the destination. What makes this tour really remarkable was the great guide Marcus. He met us at our hotel well ahead of time. He was genuinely nice, relaxed in demeanor, excellent knowledge and excellent English. He patiently explained what need to be explained while giving the group time to explore the city Great experience for our group of 9 from the Philippines. .
