Itinerary

A half-day excursion which shows you the most beautiful sights of the southern part of the Vienna Woods. Passing the Roman City of Baden which is famous for its thermal springs we take you through the romantic valley Helenental to the former Mayerling hunting lodge, today a commemorative chapel, where Crown-Prince Rudolph, the only son of Emporer Franz Joseph, committed suicide with Baroness Vetsera in 1889. Driving by the Holdrichsmuhle where Franz Schubert composed his song The Lindentree, you arrive at the Seegrotte.

Reviews

" Really enjoyable, great guide "
4 out of 5 stars
Everything perfect. Guide was so good, tour was great. Nice to be on a coach, impersonal and anonymous, rather than private tour where you have to be listening. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 is that we turned up at the agreed location (the point on the map specified) at the exact time (0915) and yet everyone was already on the bus on the other side of the street and just about to leave. We had to sprint to catch it in time.
